WORCESTER’s Gilbert and Sullivan society has chosen to support Parkinson’s UK as its charity of the year.
The chosen charity has a special meaning for one member of the group, show producer Christine Davies, who nominated it to be linked with the society’s upcoming production of The Mikado after her husband and stalwart performer Rod Davies passed away following a brave battle with the disease in September 2010.
The society is working hard to put on a top notch performance in his memory when they perform at the Swan Theatre between October 9 and 13.
