IT IS not often that you can get to hear over 20 pieces of music of such variety in the space of one afternoon.
But this concert, at the Elgar Birthplace Museum, had a huge repertoire, including popular and jazz songs, that drew attention to the young talent in this area.
Pieces like Elgar’s Chanson de Matin for violin and piano (violinist Holly Harrison) contrasted with George Gershwin’s Let’s Call The Whole Thing Off and Glenn Miller’s In The Mood. There were songs by Deep Purple and The Corrs alongside the finale from Sonata in C Minor, Opus 10, No 1 and Franz Liszt.
This concert was one of a kind.
