Witnesses wanted after intruder enters city home
POLICE are calling on early-risers to help them identify an intruder who entered a home in Worcester city centre.
The man left the rear of a premises in Hamilton Road about 5.50am on Tuesday and is believed to have walked from a rear alleyway into Wylds Lane, through Fort Royal Park, and on to London Road near the junctions with Green Hill and St Dunstan's Crescent.
Detective Inspector Graham Smith of Worcester's Reactive CID said: "There will have been a number of early-risers, both on foot - perhaps walking their dogs - and using vehicles, around at the time and we hope they can recall seeing this man at some point on their journeys.
"We're not sure of his specific route as there are a number of possible ways he could have gone, but a police tracker dog followed a scent from the premises to London Road along Wylds Lane and through Fort Royal Park."
Officers are also studying CCTV in their search for the man who is described as white, aged about 20, less than 6ft tall and wearing lightweight clothing.
