Prime time hopes for Amy
 |
| FINGERS CROSSED: Amy Booth-Steel |
A WORCESTER pantomime star is hoping to hit the big time in BBC competition I'd Do Anything.
A few months ago, Amy Booth-Steel was standing on the stage of Worcester's Swan Theatre playing the Genie in Aladdin.
Now, she is one of 12 women vying to win the prime-time reality show in which Lord Andrew Lloyd-Webber searches for a Nancy to star in a West End revival of the musical Oliver!
Chris Jaeger, who directed the aspiring West End actress in the Worcester panto, wants everyone in the city to support Miss Booth-Steel and make sure they vote for her to win each week.
"Amy is one of the most talented actresses I have ever worked with," said Mr Jaeger.
"She is a fabulous talent and I really think she would make a great Nancy. I'm going to be voting for her as many times as I can."
Earlier this week, your Worcester News reported how actress Charlotte Holland, of The Hill Avenue, off Bath Road, Worcester, made it through the auditions for I'd Do Anything but narrowly missed out on the live shows.
