BOOKWORMS young and old will be able to get their reading kicks through a series of library events.
Worcestershire County Council's libraries are hosting book bashes to mark the National Year of Reading with several themed Bedtime Stories' events, in May.
Throughout the year, libraries are marking the year with a new reading theme every month.
May's focus is Mind and Body, which aims to encourage parents to share books with their children to develop their child's language and writing skills.
Ruth Foster, county council literacy, libraries and reading manager, said: "I'm passionate about reading, it changes peoples lives and is essential for daily life as reading transports you into a new world of discovery, imagination and enjoyment."
Events taking place at libraries include Adult Learners Week, all next week, with activities and displays for the adult reader, Droitwich Library's Bedtime Stories on Monday, from 2pm until 2.40pm - children are asked to come along in their pyjamas and bring their favourite pillow pals - and Evesham Library's Bedtime Stories on Tuesday, May 27, from 6.30pm until 7.15pm.
Droitwich Library staff are also holding Yoga-Bugs sessions for flexible youngsters on Thursday, May 29, from 10am until 11am, for four to seven-year-olds and, between 11am and noon, for seven to 10-year-olds.
