A PENSIONER and his son have been assaulted by a group of youths in Worcestershire.
Malvern police are appealing for witnesses following the incident at 1.05pm on Friday on Albert Park Road, near the junction with Fredrick Road and the Moreish More Chinese restaurant.
A group of up to 10 teenage boys and girls were seen in the area at the time but it is thought that there were three main offenders.
The men, the one in his 70s, were assaulted for a period of around 10 minutes and both were left with non-life threatening injuries.
PC Matt Digger, investigating, said: "This was a nasty assault which was sustained for several minutes, during which a number of vehicles passed by, as well as a number of witnesses on foot.
"We would like to hear from these witnesses, who may hold key information that will help with enquiries."
Anyone with any information on the incident is asked to call police on 08457 444 888, quoting 816/S/160508, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
