SAS officer cleared of assault - court

A TOP SAS officer has had assault charges against him dismissed.
At Hereford Magistrates Court today deputy district judge Kevin Grego formally cleared Dale Loveridge, aged 46, of Stirling Lines, Credenhill, of two charges of committing assault by battery.
Mr Loveridge had denied both charges. District judge Grego made his ruling once the prosecution evidence was completed.
Mr Loveridge was accused of attacking two youths in Hereford city centre last November.
