Woman hit by van in Worcester

A WOMAN was taken to hospital after she was hit by a van in Worcester city centre this morning.

Police and ambulance crews were called to London Road near Fort Royal Hill at about 9.25am to reports of a collision between a pedestrian and a Vauxhall Movano.

An ambulance and a rapid response vehicle from West Midlands Ambulance Service attended and treated the woman at the scene.

She was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital for further treatment. Here injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
