CARE home residents and staff were in the pink to support the Breast Cancer Care charity on Friday.

Residents and staff at Cranham Care Home in Warndon, Worcester, raided their wardrobes to wear pink in exchange for a donation to the charity for Pink Friday.

There were also mouth-watering home-made pink cupcakes for sale and pink raffle prizes including rosé wine and a pink bouquet.

Donna White, the home’s deputy manager, said: “Every 10 minutes somebody in the UK hears the devastating news that they have breast cancer and I think everybody knows someone who has been affected by this disease.

“We all love dressing up and our residents really enjoy taking part and getting into the spirit of the occasion, so we thought what better way to support such a worthwhile charity than by turning our Friday pink.”
