Charities to benefit from card shop
5:00pm Tuesday 30th October 2012 in News
OPEN FOR BUSINESS: Cards for Good Causes shop manager Julie Smith and assistant manager Sue Garfield.
THIS year’s multi-charity Christmas card shop, Cards for Good Causes, has opened in Worcester.
People can buy Christmas cards from more than 25 national and local charities from Old St Martin’s Church in the Cornmarket until Saturday, December 18.
The shop is open every Monday to Saturday between 9.30am to 3.30pm, selling cards, small gifts, wrapping paper and gift tags.
Assistant manager Sue Garfield said people are welcome to come in and browse the shop to see what is on offer.
She said: “Even though there are services on, people can still browse.
“Now the church is open, we’re finding that people are coming in to look at the church, then come over to look at the shop. Cards for Good Causes sell cards across the UK every year, raising funds for charities including Age UK, British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research UK.
