The driver, an "elderly" male, has been taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital in a "critical" condition.

Passers-by removed the man from the car and administered first aid before ambulance crews arrived and took over.

A West Mercia Police spokesman said it is likely the road will remain closed "for some time" as the wreckage is cleared and an investigation carried out.

A MAN has been rushed to hospital after a car flipped on to its roof in Henwick Road, St Johns.

Traffic travels far too fast along the Henwick Road. With all of the parked cars the road is narrowed, add speeding to the equation and I am amazed we don't see more accidents.

He must have hit something else such as the kerb to flip the car like that.

Poor chap I hope he's okay, although as someone pointed out recently, with all those student nurses around that's not a bad area to have an accident.

not easy to do that in a 30mph area and yes must have caught the kerb.
