AN audience at The Regal Cinema in Evesham will be Dancing in the Moonlight at the beginning of next month.

The Port Street venue welcomes platinum-selling band Toploader for an evening of music to remember on Saturday, December 1.

The band, who originally hail from Eastbourne, sold more than two million copies of their debut album Onka’s Big Moka, which stayed in the top-five of the charts for more than six months.

Last year they made a sparkling comeback thanks to their third studio album, Only Human, which was released via award-winning independent label Underdogs Management.

After working with producer Danton Supple, who lists Morrissey and Coldplay as previous projects, the group is said to possess a more mature sound.

Four of the five founding members remain in the shape of Joseph Washbourn on vocals and keys, guitarist Dan Hipgrave, bassist Matt Knight and Rob Green on drums.

They made their return in the middle of 2011 soon after Joseph had starred in ITV1’s Popstar to Operastar programme, with his outstanding and recognisable vocals taking him through to the semi-finals.

Since getting back together they haven’t looked back, taking to the road for numerous festival appearances across the past two summers, a whole host of venues throughout the UK as well as spreading their wings into Europe.

Their cover of King Harvest's song Dancing in the Moonlight became a global hit, but comeback single Never Stop Wondering may also prove to be a familiar tune after it became a popular soundtrack for events on Sky Sports and the BBC.

Second single, A Balance To All Things, made it on to radio playlists across the country, including BBC Radio 2 and Q Radio.

The band is currently in the studio writing new material and a further single from Only Human is scheduled for release later this year.

Doors open at 7pm and tickets are £17.50 for standing and £22.50 for seats in the circle.
