A WOMAN has been fined £60 and given five penalty points on her driving licence after failing to report an accident.
Gemma Hines, of Grenville Road, in Dines Green, Worcester, hit the wing mirror of a Peugeot belonging to Christopher Thomson after he stopped on double yellow lines on the B4550 in Lowesmoor, Worcester, on December 13.
Judith Kenney, defending at Worcester Magistrates Court, said Hines heard a bang but thought it was just a stone.
It was only when she arrived at her destination that she realised what had happened and fully acknowledged she should have stopped.
She said Hines had been trying to pay Mr Thomson £240 for the damage since August but that the legal system had prevented this from happening.
Magistrates acknowledged she had made efforts to pay Mr Thomson for the damage.
