Felicity Kendal is to star in a stimulating drama about the power of love and loss.
Kendal, still much loved for her role as Barbara in The Good Life, stars in Amy's View which opens at the Malvern Theatres on Monday.
It is set in 1979 and she plays Esme Allen, an actress at the pinnacle of her stage career. A visit from her daughter, Amy, with a new boyfriend, sets in motion a chain of life-changing events - that come to a shattering conclusion 16 years later.
The show, which comes to Malvern prior to its West End run, is described as a blistering journey through family relationships, changing Britain and popular culture. Tickets, priced between £20 and £28, under 25s £8, are available from the box office on 01684 892277.
