A TOTAL of 700 people were affected by a power cut in Worcester this morning.
The power cut, which was caused by an underground cable fault, affected Western Power Distribution customers - including the Worcester News offices - in St John's, Barbourne and Bevere at 11.30am.
The majority of people had power restored within the hour, but around 100 people are still without power.
A spokeswoman for the power company said it is hoped they will be back on in the next couple of hours as a generator is on its way to the site.
Workmen are trying to locate the fault in order to repair it.
