CLOSING: Wallis in Worcester's High Street will close when its lease expires

A POPULAR High Street store is set to close its doors in Worcester when its lease expires.

Wallis will close and the property will be handed back to the landlords.

A spokesperson for Wallis said: "At present we can't confirm exact redeployment opportunities but we are looking at internal options within Wallis and the Arcadia Group."

The demographics of Worcester has changed over the last 20yrs.
We are now a university town with cheap cloth shops replacing quality stores.
With the wimper in which the porcelain and kays were allowed to leave and the constant kowtowing by the council to the university it is no wonder we are a charity shop, tk max city

That would be why Carluccio’s and Zizzi ,both relatively high end eateries, have opened would it? I think its more the fact Wallis is an ailing brand and people shop elsewhere.
