A TEENAGER thrown out of home by her mother was repeatedly raped by a man inside a Worcester guest house, a jury was told.

The 16-year-old, described as “a troubled and insecure child”, had no friends in the city and became dependent on Peter Goode, said prosecutor Rhona Campbell.

He found her bed and breakfast accommodation but allegedly exerted pressure on her, forcing her to have sex against her will.

“Sex happened regularly in the bed and breakfast,” said Miss Campbell. “She was crying throughout and told him she didn’t want to do it.”

The abuse stopped after the girl moved into the YMCA because under its house rules, Goode was not allowed inside.

He was arrested by police in 2010 and insisted he had never been inside the girl’s guest house. He claimed she invented the abuse because she hated him.

Miss Campbell told the jury at Worcester Crown Court that in April this year Goode was convicted of acts of indecency against the same victim.

She claimed that following those offences two years earlier, he called the girl on her mobile and warned that she was going to get raped.

“It demonstrated a fantasy with regard to her and he put it into action not long afterwards,” said Miss Campbell.

Goode, aged 64, of Warmistry Court, Quay Street, Worcester, denies three counts of rape between August 2003 and April 2004.

The girl was abused in another area of the country by Goode before she moved with her mother to Worcester, the jury heard.

But Goode linked up with her again after she argued with her mother and was banished from home.

“He helped her find a bed and breakfast and there he exerted pressure and control over her,” said Miss Campbell. “He tried to restrict her access to others and increase her dependence on him. She was a troubled child and it is easy to abuse a damaged and insecure child.”

The girl eventually went to a doctor suffering from depression and disclosed her story to him.

The trial continues.
