CLASSIC bike enthusiasts were in their element this weekend as they picked up precious parts for their much-loved motorcycles.

The 17th Malvern Classic Bike Show, held on the Three Counties Showground, near Malvern, was filled with a mixture of clubs and private enthusiasts, who had travelled from all over the country to show off motorbikes dating from the First World War right up to the 1990s.

They were joined by trade and auto jumble stalls which gave 2,500 people the opportunity to buy parts to improve and repair their classic motors.

The event also featured various stands selling tools and accessories, toys and models as well as books and manuals.

Organiser Andy Greenwood, of Huddersfield, said: "It's been a brilliant day. The show started off quite small 17 years ago with just a few stalls, but it's grown and grown over the years and it's huge now.

"The Worcester Vintage Motorcycle Club is here and they are celebrating their 10th anniversary. A Swindon club has also come, there are clubs here that have come from all over the country," he added.

Clubs with 4X4 motors were also invited to put on a formal display of their vehicles.
