THE MP Harriett Baldwin is visiting flood-hit residents in the village of Kempsey near Worcester tomorrow.

This trip will be in addition to the regular weekly advice surgery session - also being held on Friday - at the Memorial Hall at Upton-upon-Severn from 5pm.

Mrs Baldwin is visiting Kempsey between 3pm and 4pm and is also meeting representatives from the Environment Agency to discuss the flooding.

She will also hear the conclusions of the independent investigation into the pump failure over the weekend - an investigation ordered by the Environment secretary Owen Paterson.

Mrs Baldwin is keen to speak with villagers who have any problems or concerns over the flooding, or its aftermath.

Villagers can ring her constituency office on 01684 585165 to make an appointment during her rounds, or gather at St Mary’s Church at 3pm.

Her next surgery is at Alfrick and Lulsley with a session at the village hall on Friday, December 7.

A full list of all her surgery dates is published at www.harriettbaldwin.com

Mrs Baldwin said: “I wanted to try and be accessible to as many people as possible this week and I was keen to show my support for the people who have been affected by flooding this week.

“This special trip [to Kempsey] will allow me to get a better understanding of the flooding and to offer my help to anyone who needs it."
