THE Christmas lights in a Worcester venue will be dimmed for a night of all things dark.

A goth Christmas party will trade the typical festive shades of red, gold and green for all things noir at the Marr’s Bar, in Pierpont Street, on Saturday, December 15.

Anne Marie Hurst has a strong claim to the title ‘Queen of Goth’ having featured in the Skeletal Family during the 80s, topping indie charts and touring with the likes of Sisters Of Mercy and Siouxsie and the Banshees.

Having gone on to form Ghost Dance before taking a hiatus, Anne Marie is back with Skeletal Family founder members Stan Greenwood on guitar and Roger "Trotwood" Nowell on bass to play both the old and the new.

Northern goth rockers Rhombus mix male and female vocals with swirling guitars, driving bass and electric violin to make combination of some of the best elements of traditional 80s and 90s goth with their own modern, upbeat approach.

Steve Mercy completes the roster with a set of poignant acoustic numbers, while DJ Cruel Britannia will be setting the mood all night.

Tickets are £6 in advance or £8 on the door.
