WORCESTER's CrownGate Shopping Centre is making sure shoppers get in the festive spirit with a varied programme of Christmas entertainment in the run up to the day itself.

A live music session, featuring singing and guitar playing in aid of Acorns Children’s Hospice, will take place today and The Elms school choir will perform from 10am on Monday.

The Salvation Army will be collecting gifts for its annual Christmas Present Appeal between 11am and 12.30pm on Wednesdays, December 12 and 19 and the All Saints Choir will perform festive favourites from 6.30pm on Thursday.

Regency High School and Sports College Singers and Signers will be performing from 9.30am on Friday and the Funky Faces face painters will transform children into festive favourites next Saturday from 11am.

Violinist Shulah Oliver will be performing in aid of Guide Dogs for the Blind during late night shopping on Thursday, December 20, as well as on Saturday, December 22.

Father Christmas’s free grotto is open in Friary Walk between Tuesdays and Sundays but is closed on Mondays.
