AN AIR Cadet squadron was celebrating scooping three trophies during a cross-country competition at RAF Cosford.
Air cadets from 187 (City of Worcester) Squadron were up against 27 other squadrons from the West Mercian wing during the annual Inter-Squadron Cross-Country Championship.
They won three out of the six trophies up for grabs at the competition at the RAF base near Wolverhampton.
Coming second in the competition, the under 17 boys, junior men and overall male trophies will now be proudly displayed at their base in Perdiswell.
Flight Lieutenant Andrew Smith, the squadron’s officer commanding, said: ‘‘I am extremely proud of them all. It is a fantastic achievement for the squadron.’’
