GOOD CAUSE: A couple who raise money to support a poor community in Uganda are holding a teddy-bear raffle for the second year running.
Denise and Richard Ditchburn, from Upper Welland, have spent the last five years raising money after visiting the country for a friend's wedding.
Last year, they raised about £60 for the cause by raffling a handmade bear. Now a well-wisher, Pam Smith of Worcester, has donated two more top-quality teddy bears for another raffle.
Tickets are available at Promenade Antiques, 41 Worcester Road, Malvern, until the draw date on Thursday, December 20.
Mr Ditchburn said: “All proceeds will be sent to Uganda to help a nursing project that deals with young people and their families dealing with the effects of the HIV virus and other health issues.”
