A FAMILY home in Droitwich has been transformed into a festive grotto to raise funds for St Richard’s Hospice.

The Mason family, who live in Birch Coppice, have covered their house in Christmas lights and other seasonal decorations in aid of a cause close to their hearts.

Mum Alison Mason decided to start taking donations for the Worcester-based hospice after noticing people stopping outside to see her Christmas creation.

She said: “I thought it would be a great chance to raise funds for a fantastic cause. My best friend spent her last days in the hospice and my auntie is about to go there to be cared for as well.

“Hopefully more people will come and enjoy the decorations in the lead up to Christmas Day and help raise even more money.”
