AFRICAN ADVENTURE: Pershore teenager Rachel Corbett is in Uganda.
A TEENAGER from Pershore is “loving every minute” of volunteering in Uganda.
Rachel Corbett is currently teaching disadvantaged students at SNEC Kitanga Primary School, Kabale, Uganda after raising more than £5,000 for the trip.
Having left Pershore behind in August, she is now part way through a year-long placement at the school after appealing for funds in your Worcester News.
She said: “The article definitely helped. It raised awareness of what I am doing massively and I'm so grateful.
“I managed to raise all of the money and have been having a great time in Uganda.”
