THE OPENING of a graduate art show had all the right designs to help relaunch a gallery’s cafe.

The artwork of 19 students who had graduated from universities and art colleges from across the country in 2012 will be displayed in Bevere Gallery until January 26. Paintings, ceramics, handmade jewellery pieces and wooden vessels are among the work which is currently on display and available for sale.

Visitors will have the chance to select their favourite artist who will be announced as the people’s winner on the final day of the exhibition.

Proprietor Kim Taylor said the launch on Saturday had been well attended.

“It was really good. We had lots of people there and made some good sales too.” The gallery is open 10.30am to 5pm Tuesday to Saturday.
