A MAJOR cash boost will allow users of a leisure centre to benefit from a host of new facilities.
The health suite area of Malvern Splash, Priory Road, has been completely refurbished thanks to a £40,000 investment from Malvern Hills District Council and the centre’s operators Everyone Active.
It will comprise a bespoke pine sauna, mosaic tiled steam room and a ‘drench’ shower, as well as improved lighting and ventilation within the whole area and a new colour scheme to bring a holistic feel.
Ian Bonsall, general manager at Malvern Splash, said: “The new health suite area will offer our customers a new and reliable service in our leisure centre.
“It will enable customers to relax after a hard workout in the gym or simply use the centre as a place to unwind.”
Councillor Phil Grove, portfolio holder for community services at Malvern Hills District Council, said: “This substantial investment in the refurbishment programme illustrates our on-going commitment to providing first-class leisure facilities that are a match to many of the privately-run leisure facilities in terms of quality.
“Helping to promote the importance of our health and well-being is a continuing priority for the council.”
