GRITTERS are poised for action this weekend as freezing weather hits Worcestershire.

Worcestershire County Council is urging drivers to take care over the weekend with predictions that temperatures will plummet.

The council's fleet of gritters will be on standby to head out if needed and more information can be found on Twitter at twitter.com/worcscc or online at worcestershire.gov.uk/gritting.
