A CYCLIST was taken to hospital after being hit by a car on a Worcester road earlier this morning.

The man in his 40s was struck by a Peugeot 407 on Bath Road at about 7.40am.

One ambulance attended the incident and he was treated for back pain and knee injuries before being fully immobilised and given pain relief at the scene, and taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
