Service makes a real difference

PARTNERSHIP PRAISED: Worcester MP Robin Walker with Transition to Adulthood employees and service users.
A PIONEERING partnership which helps young adults avoid reoffending has been praised by Worcester’s MP.
Robin Walker visited the Transition to Adulthood, known as T2A, in Carden Street, Worcester, to talk to users about the service.
T2A links up young adult offenders aged 18 and over with volunteer caseworkers who aim to keep them out of trouble.
The project extends some of the help offered by the Youth Offending Service, which deals with those aged under 18.
Mr Walker said: “It is very clear that this is a scheme that works and makes a real difference to young people who want to get on the straight and narrow and avoid reoffending.”
T2A is a partnership between the Youth Offending Service, West Mercia Probation Service and charities including the Barrow Cadbury Trust.
