A WORCESTER drug dealer has been warned he faces a substantial prison sentence after pleading guilty to seven charges involving £11,000.

But Judge Michael Cullum granted bail to 33-year-old Ryan Harford after hearing that he was due for a nose operation today.

Harford, of Christchurch Road, Tolladine, pleaded guilty at Worcester Crown Court to two charges of transferring property suspected to be proceeeds of criminal conduct. The sums were £7,000 and £4,000.

At a previous court he had admitted five charges of possessing heroin, ecstasy and a designer drug.

His barrister, Richard Bond, asked for a pre-sentence report, saying that Harford had already started seeing a community drug team in Birmingham because he was so well-known in Worcester. He also was waiting for a cyst to be removed from his nose.

His wife was pregnant and expecting their first child in March. Harford, who expected an immediate custody, wanted to put his affairs in order.

The judge deferred sentence for four weeks and asked for a report from the probation officer currently dealing with Harford.
