THE Bishop of Worcester Dr John Inge has renewed the special relationship between the dioceses of Worcester and Peru, 21 years after it was first founded.

Bishop John signed a new partnership agreement with Bishop William Godfrey of Peru at a meeting of the Bishop’s Council on the weekend.

The link was set up to encourage and help the dioceses fulfil their call to mission in the spirit of friendship, strengthening the bonds of affection and solidarity in the worldwide Anglican Communion through friendship and is reviewed approximately every 10 years.

Bishop John said: “Our partnership with Peru is both inspirational and enlightening. Over the time of our relationship there have been many visits between the two countries by individuals, parishes and schools and we have learnt much from each other.

“I’m looking forward to continuing to move forward together in Christian discipleship and love.”
