A YOUNG girl who was hit by a car whilst on her way to school near Pershore on Tuesday is on her way to making a good recovery.
The six-year-old child was walking to Pinvin CE First School at about 8.50am when she was hit by the car.
She was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital to be treated for hip and arm injuries and is now recovering.
Sarah Boyce, headteacher at Pinvin CE First School, where the child attends, said she was making a good recovery.
“We were very impressed by the way the whole community rallied round to help the whole family out in this very difficult situation,” she said. “We are now all wishing her a speedy recovery and the school have been in touch to wish her the best.”
West Mercia Police interviewed the driver but no further action was taken.
