STAFF at a Droitwich opticians are running an in-store book sale to help raise funds for the town’s high school.

Specsavers, St Andrews Square, is appealing for donations of books in good condition which will go on sale in return for donations to the library at Droitwich High School.

The book sale runs until the end of the month.

“This is the second year that we’ve run the book sale and it ties in perfectly with our literacy drive and Specsavers’ support of the National Book Awards,” said store director Emma Singh.

“There’s nothing better than curling up with a good book during these cold winter months, so we hope that people will pop into the store to pick up a new read happy in the knowledge that they’ll be helping out local school pupils at the same time.”
