Boy injured in sledging accident near Malvern

A BOY was taken to hospital on Sunday after falling from a sledge in Malvern.

The eight-year-old boy was treated for a back injury after the fall near the Malvern Hills Hotel and taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

 

The accident happened around 1pm and a rapid response and ambulance attended the scene.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said:

"WMAS is reiterating its safety advice to those thinking of taking to the slopes this week.

"Every winter WMAS is called to people who have become injured whilst sledging. We would encourage people to just take a second to think about where they are sledging and to have fun safely."
