POLICE were involved in an incident on The Tything, Worcester, outside United Footwear.

Three police cars were present at the scene at about 6.20pm tonight and officers were in road directing traffic.

The squad cars were parked in layby along with another car and cones were placed around layby.

Traffic was very slow moving in Castle Street through to the bridge over the river.

Details of the incident are not yet known.

I drove past this, it was actually outside the Music City shop rather than United Footwear, on the corner of Britannia Square and The Tything, and involved two police cars and an ambulance. I saw someone being stretchered into the ambulance whilst a policeman directed traffic.
