A VISITING ban is back at Worcestershire hospitals following the unwelcome return of a winter diarrhoea and vomiting bug.
NHS bosses have introduced a visiting ban at Worcestershire Royal Hospital in Worcester, the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch and Kidderminster Hospital and Treatment Centre yesterday (Friday) because of norovirus.
A spokesman for Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust confirmed there were suspected cases at three wards at the Worcester hospital and four at the Redditch hospital.
Exceptional visiting can be arranged by prior agreement with the ward manager and those who wish to visit are advised to contact the individual ward. Outpatient appointments are running as normal.
