OPPORTUNITIES will be available for people in Bromsgrove, Droitwich and Alcester, concerned about the risks of osteoporosis, to receive a scan for the condition.
Osteoporosis causes bones to deteriorate, and often affects women after the menopause.
Non-invasive scans aren’t readily available on the NHS and can be hard to obtain, but there will be an opportunity for anyone concerned about their health to receive a scan for £22, as one company tours its equipment around the area this month.
Scans will be available on Tuesday, February 19, at Alcester Town Hall from 2-6pm, and on Thursday, February 21 at Bromsgrove Council Offices from 9am-1pm, and at Droitwich Community Hall from 2-5pm.
For more information about the scans, call Health Assessments on 0845 2246784.
