A MOTOCROSS rider and a spectator have been taken to hospital following an incident in Worcestershire.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the motocross event at Wilden Top Road in Stourport-on-Severn shortly before 1.30pm yesterday.
An ambulance, a rapid response vehicle and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham were sent to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Crews were called to reports of a motocross rider who had left the race track and had been in collision with a spectator.
“The rider of the motorbike, a boy believed to be 11 years of age, was treated for wrist and stomach injuries. The boy was immobilised and conveyed, via land ambulance, to Worcester Royal Hospital.
“The spectator, a 30 year old woman, was treated for a fractured right leg and suspected pelvic injuries.
"The woman was fully immobilised before being airlifted to the same hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
