STAFF at two Droitwich businesses helped sock it to heart disease with a splash of scarlet.

Employees of Train2Succeed and Abacus Care rocked up to work in red on Friday, February 1 in a bid to raise money for The British Heart Foundation.

They had initially hoped to raise £150, but they collected a final total of £162.50 in donations.

Marie Tully, training administrator, thanked those who supported their fundraising efforts.

She said: “It was a great start to February which is National Heart Month by socking it to heart disease and rocking up in red for The British Heart Foundation.”

Heart disease is one of the UK’s biggest killers and is responsible for almost 80,000 deaths each year. Nearly 2.7 million people in the UK are living with heart disease.
