THE sounds of the streets and swamps of New Orleans are brought to Bromsgrove next week.

Stomp & Holler play The Artrix on Friday, February 22 as part of their UK theatre tour.

A big, bold festival favourite blues band with a brass section and six singers, they are led by Oliver Carpenter and Abby Brant, the front line of The Big Blues Tribe.

Featuring four British Blues Award nominees, Stomp & Holler pulls together top musicians to explode on stage with brass, blues and a vast array of voices.

The new six-piece creates a muscular sound reminiscent of the floor filling music of New Orleans, driven by skin-tight rhythm section Chris Lomas (bass) and Martin Ball (drums/percussion) and featuring Abby’s piano playing and Lee Evans’s guitar.

This is all topped off with Oliver’s forceful stage personality and and British Blues Awards nominated John Sanderson on saxes and flute, Stomp & Holler is bold, brassy and fills the stage with colour.

Tickets are £10 and the band goes on stage at 8pm.
