RESIDENTS in Hanbury are to be asked what they think about electoral arrangement in their area.

Following requests from parish councils, Wychavon District Council will undertake Community Governance Reviews of Flyford Flavell, Grafton Flyford and North Piddle as well as Stock and Bradley and Hanbury.

The reason the review has come about is because the two of the parish councils felt that parishioners could be better served through a change.

The first reason was that Flyford Flavell wanted to ensure that residents had a similar amount of residents per councillor, meaning that residents were better represented.

The other was Stock and Bradley Parish Council which wants to move the boundary because residents just outside the parish are more geographically aligned to the parish council.

Electors from these parishes, and other interested parties, will be asked for their thoughts. People will be asked to consider the number and allocation of parish councillors in Flyford Flavell, Grafton Flyford and North Piddle, whereas Stock and Bradley and Hanbury electors will have their say on the proposed alteration of the parish boundary between them.

The consultation will be open until March 15 after which recommendations will be published before being finalised in September.
