Couples married at Droitwich Spa Methodist Church help mark its 75th anniversary.
MORE than 30 couples whoo married at Droitwich Spa Methodist Church gathered to help mark the building’s 75 anniversary.
A special service celebrating marriage was held at the Worcester Road site on Sunday, February 10.
The event was part of celebrations to mark the major milestone since the church was erected in 1938.
The couples joined the congregation to reflect on what love means and to recall their own marriage vows.
Rev. Jane Wilson, who led the service, said: “It was wonderful to see so many couples of all ages, including newlyweds and others married for many years, joining us in this celebration of the gift of love, described by St Paul as the greatest of all gifts, shown in the love of God in Jesus.
“We’re now looking forward to welcoming people who were baptised at the church to another special celebration service at 10.30am on Sunday, May 19 and hope we get as good a response as this.”
Anyone baptised at the church should call the office on 01905 774188 or e-mail droitwichmethodistchurch@btinternet.com
