UPDATE 10:10am:

Water supplies are now understood to have been returned.

A Severn Trent spokesman said that the problem was not with any of the company's water pipes but with a privately-owned pump distributing water to the homes affected.

She said someone was already working on the pump when Severn Trent crews arrived.

DOZENS of homes in Worcester are experiencing problems with their water supplies this morning.

The problems are centred on the Diglis area, with homes in Crossley Road, Basin Road and Diglis Dock Road either without water completely or with a very limited supply.

Severn Trent Water says it is working hard to fix the problems and aims to have water supplies restored within six hours.
