TWO generations were united over a sweet or savoury treat to mark the start of Lent.
Youngsters from St Clement’s CE Primary School in Henwick Road, St John’s, Worcester, spent Shrove Tuesday decorating pancakes with the residents of Regent Care Home in School Road, St John’s.
The children’s entries were then judged, with the top three placed winners receiving a toy shop gift voucher.
Bridie Gray, the home’s activities leader and competition organiser, said: “Children from the school are regular visitors to our home and our residents’ faces light up whenever they see them.”
