DELVE into your family history with the help of a new county service.
The Worcestershire County Council’s Archive and Archaeology Service is offering residents the chance to find out more about the ancestry.co.uk website with workshops at the Hive.
The site, which carries a mass of information, is available online but can be accessed for free at Worcestershire's libraries.
Running on Tuesday’s between 2pm and 4pm in the Hive’s explore the past area, the workshops help new website users to a more detailed look at what’s new on the website.
On Tuesday, February 26, an introduction to the site will look at its most popular historic source, the Census. On March 5, a further ancestry course will explore other main resources and new information added to the site in recent years will be discussed on March 12.
Each workshop costs £5 and booking is essential. The workshops will be repeated on Thursday mornings in May for those who cannot attend these.
To book a place call 01905 766352, email explorethepast@worcestershire.gov.uk, or visit the explore the past desk at the Hive.
