MARIE Curie Cancer Care’s Great Daffodil Appeal is taking place across Droitwich from March 1.

The Great Daffodil Appeal is Marie Curie’s biggest fundraiser, and encourages everyone to support those with a terminal illness by giving a donation and wearing a daffodil pin throughout March.

All funds raised will help Marie Curie nurses to provide more free care to local people with a terminal illness in their own home.

Community fundraiser, Richard Scott, said: “We need everyone in Droitwich to donate and wear one of our daffodil pins during March. We are also still desperate for volunteers to come forward and help collect at their local collection.

“Every penny you give is absolutely vital in helping us support people with terminal illnesses in your area, and provide more of the free hands-on care and emotional support we’re renowned for.”

Daffodil pins can be picked up from stores, Marie Curie volunteer collectors, and Marie Curie shops throughout March.

There are also lots of Great Daffodil Appeal fundraising events to get involved in. A Droitwich street collection will be held on March 2 and collections at the town’s Morrisons store will be on March 14, 15 and 16.
