Fire crews called to tackle boat blaze
FIRE crews were called to boat fire on the river Avon at Birlingham this morning.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service was called to the scene at approximately 9.40am to find one boat which was well alight.
Crews from Worcester, Evesham, Upton, Stourport and Redditch attended the incident and used a compressed air foam supply, one jet and a light portable pump to tackle the blaze.
A stop message was received at 10.40am and crews took some time to dampen down.
There are no reports of anyone being injured in the fire.
