A treat for mums at Hartlebury Castle

THERE’S a treat for Worcestershire mums this Mother’s Day, as the county museum at Hartlebury Castle will be opening its doors to them for free.

The castle, which has more than 1,000 years of history, from horse-drawn vehicles to social history, costumes, toys and archaeology, will be open on Sunday, March 10 and free to mums, while children will be able to make their mum a special card, and families will have the chance to dress up as Victorians and have their portrait taken by the museum’s resident photographer.

Rachel Robinson, visitor experience manager at Worcestershire County Museum, said: “The county museum is excited about being able to reward all the hard working mums of Worcestershire with a free day out on their special day. The Mother's Day menu provides some tempting treats in the truly unique location of the old Castle Kitchen and we are sure visitors will enjoy the opportunity to get a photograph taken as a Victorian family and to make their own Mother's Day card.”

Entry to the museum generally costs £5 for adults, £2.50 for concessions and £13 for a family ticket which pays for two adults and two children. Mums will be admitted free of charge on Sunday, March 10.
