Charities can benefit from funding support
9:20am Saturday 2nd March 2013 in News
CHARITIES in Worcestershire are set to benefit from more than £73,000 of funding support.
The Lloyds TSB Foundation for England and Wales has announced the sum for 2013 that is on offer to help registered charities in the county, particularly those working in the Bromsgrove and Wychavon areas.
Recently, the foundation awarded £40,000, over two years, to Bromsgrove charity NewStarts. The charity provides practical help for families setting up home by providing them with donated furniture and also opportunities for work experience and volunteering to those who are unemployed or may have poor mental health or learning difficulties.
Charities can quickly check whether they fit the foundation’s guidelines at lloydstsbfoundations.org.uk/HowToApply.
Peter Cunnison, grant manager for the West Midlands, said: “At the foundation we aim to provide funding that can bring a positive impact to those most vulnerable. I would urge any charity working across the Bromsgrove and Wychavon area seeking funding to take the short eligibility questionnaire on the foundation’s website.”
